  1. Suit — it is the protective suit with a complete set of a veil, a hat and a pair of gloves. This will protect you from getting stung by bees by covering your whole body. White suits are best recommended to wear since bees are blind as far as white is concerned. Gloves should be made from animal skin to ensure the safety from bee stings.
  2. Smoker — it is a firebox that generates smoke to help calm the bees.
  3. The hive — beehives will come in different types or models. Basically, hives are designed with removable frame. This will able you to pull out the frames and check for parasites that’s infect most beehives.
  4. Supers — one of the basic beekeeping supplies, these are wooden boxes that hold the frames of honeybees. Supers should withstand any weather conditions to protect the beehives. It is designed to keep the queen bee inside its deep chambers to lay its eggs. Supers are not only for keeping the bee colony, but it is also the storage for honey.
  5. Honey Extracting tools — these include a brush, an escape board, and honey extractor.
  6. The Bees — avoid purchasing your bees in packages since it is stressful for bees especially for the queen bee. Do not attempt to harvest your bees from the forest; it is risky and dangerous.
  7. Mite control and medication supplies – these will complete what you need.
